John Mayer Asks People to 'Please Be Kind' as Ex Taylor Swift Releases 'Speak Now' Re-Recording

John Mayer appears to be addressing Taylor Swift‘s fans.

At midnight on Friday (July 7), the 33-year-old entertainer released Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), the re-recording of her 2010 album.

On the album, Taylor has a song titled “Dear John,” and for years fans have believed that she wrote the song about her messy breakup from the 45-year-old “Free Fallin’” singer.

On the same night Taylor released the album, John shared a message on social media.
