Katharine McPhee has been touring Asia with her husband David Foster for the past week, but she will be leaving the tour early due to a family emergency.
The 39-year-old entertainer took to her Instagram account on Friday (August 11) to let fans know that she will not be performing at the final two shows of their tour.
“Dearest Jakarta fans, it’s with heavy heart I announce I have to miss our final 2 shows of our Asia run,” Katharine began her message.

She continued, “David and I have had a horrible tragedy in our family and at least one of us needs to get back home to our family. Please know how sorry I am and how much I wish to return one day and perform for you all. Love, Katharine.”
It’s not clear what has happened, but our thoughts are with them during this difficult time. Many of the couple’s celeb friends have already sent their well wishes on Instagram.
“Sending my love and prayers for your family 🙏🏽❤️,” Nicole Scherzinger said.
Amanda Kloots wrote, “Sending you loads of love. I’m thinking of you guys.”
David‘s ex-wife Linda Thompson said, “Sending you and David love, & hoping that everything is OK🙏🏻💜.”
It appears that David, 73, will still perform the final two shows of the tour in Jakarta, Indonesia on Friday and Saturday. He will be joined by Michael Bolton, Loren Allred, Peabo Bryson, and Raisa.
