More details have been revealed after Katharine McPhee announced that she was leaving her and husband David Foster‘s tour in Asia early.
On Thursday night (August 10), the 39-year-old entertainer let fans she will not be performing at the final two shows of their tour due to a “horrible tragedy in our family.”
The following a day, sources close to Katharine revealed the family tragedy.

Sources shared with TMZ that Katharine and the 73-year-old musician’s 2-year-old son Rennie‘s nanny passed away.
The couple was extremely close with their son’s nanny and Katharine rushed home to the United States after her passing.
As of right now, details surrounding the nanny’s death haven’t been made public. It’s also unclear if Rennie was on tour with Katharine and David in Asia or if he was home in the U.S. with his nanny.
David is still expected to perform the final two shows of the tour in Jakarta, Indonesia on Friday and Saturday. He will be joined by Michael Bolton, Loren Allred, Peabo Bryson, and Raisa.
