Doja Cat Changes 'Scarlet' Album Cover After Fans Note Similarities to German Band Chaver

Doja Cat is making some last minute changes to her upcoming album.

On Thursday (August 31), the 27-year-old performer shared the updated album artwork for her new album Scarlet on Instagram.

The switch comes after fans pointed out the similarities between Scarlet‘s original artwork and the album cover from the German band Chaver.

“Updated cover,” Doja captioned the image, which features a hand-drawn illustration of a spider-like creature with pearls as its head and abdomen. See the post here.

Stereogum writes that both Doja‘s original album art and Chaver’s cover were designed by Portland-based artist Dusty Ray. Strangely enough, both albums are also set to drop on September 22.
