Rachel Recchia Defends Joining 'Bachelor in Paradise' After Ex Tino Franco Shades Her Motives

Rachel Recchia is speaking out following Tino Franco‘s comments about her joining Bachelor in Paradise.

Bachelor Nation fans will remember that the two ended up engaged in season 19, but split up during the After the Final Rose special, after he admitted to kissing another woman after their engagement.

Just recently, Tino called out Rachel joining the newest season of BiP, and she has something to say about it.

During her appearance on The Viall Files with former Bachelor star Nick Viall, Rachel defended her choice to join the show.

“I just don’t understand, why am I not allowed to move on?” she argued. “And why am I not allowed to find love?”

Last month, Tino told the After Reality podcast that he would be rooting for Aven Jones and Tyler Norris, more so than Rachel

“If she thinks she can find love [on Paradise] after everything she’s been through, I mean, good for her,” he said. “…whether you like her or dislike her — you got to give her credit for is there’s no quit in her. I’ll be watching, but focusing my rooting on for the boys.”

Rachel added to her own interview that there as more to their split than what fans saw, and what he’s said about it.

She stated that Tino was planning on seeing the woman he kissed, but was cast on The Bachelorette just as that was happening, and he felt more for that person than he did for her.

“I guess there’s just a lot to the story,” Rachel says. “It doesn’t matter now, I really have moved forward. That’s not something I want to harp on or be like ‘He was wrong for this, this and this.’ I guess it’s just hard to know what I know and still have this coming out.”
