50 Cent has finally found a home for his multi-part tell-all documentary on Diddy.
According to a TMZ report published on Tuesday evening, the Get Rich Or Die Tryin’ rapper has sold his documentary on Diddy to Netflix! The sale comes after what was supposedly a massive bidding war from several competing streaming agencies to get the rights to release the doc on the embattled Bad Boy Records mogul. Clearly, a lot of people wanted their hands on this one. And we have a feeling a LOT of viewers will want to watch it!

No word on which networks and streaming services were involved, but we have a feeling that if there was a bidding war and a brand as big as Netflix came away the winner, all the biggest players in the broadcast world were probably at the table.
Per sources who spoke to that outlet about the sale, the new docuseries will run in multiple parts. It was painstakingly produced by 50 Cent’s G-Unit Film and Television Studios, and here’s the big tidbit: it is going to hit the streamer sooner rather than later. We can’t wait!! The timing is critical, because obviously Diddy has been in the news a LOT recently. In fact, that timing likely helped pump the price on the bidding war to the point where execs from lots of networks wanted a piece of the action before Netflix came away the big winner.
As Perezcious readers will no doubt recall, Diddy has been making the worst kind of headlines over the last few days after security camera footage from 2016 showed him violently assaulting his ex Cassie in a hotel hallway. That comes in addition to the raid on Diddy’s homes by the Department of Homeland Security earlier this year AND various other lawsuits and claims against him which have made unsettling accusations of both violent abuse and sexual misconduct.
So, it looks like Diddy’s arch-rival 50 Cent is going to be the beneficiary of good timing on this one. It would seem as though the timing is right for the doc to hit the public eye just as everyone’s attention is on Diddy’s horrific past actions — both known and alleged. As far as Diddy is concerned, we know he has far bigger problems than his enemy’s documentary, but it can’t feel good to know that the hammer is about to fall — er, stream. Reactions, y’all??
