This lawsuit is f**king wild, y’all!
According to a Tennessee filing from May 2025 via DailyMail.com, an Arizona woman named Jayme Lee is claiming she’s actually Miley Cyrus‘ real mother! The suit shares disturbing allegations, as the woman says she gave birth to the pop star at just 12 years old in 1992. She goes on to further claim she and Billy Ray Cyrus, as well as Tish Cyrus, entered a “private adoption agreement”.
This alleged agreement was supposedly going to give Lee the right to name Miley, as well as be her nanny and piano teacher when she grew up. The 45-year-old said she was caused “severe emotional distress” when Billy Ray “misrepresented the circumstances” of the alleged agreement. Per the suit, Lee accused Billy Ray and Tish of “breach of contract, fraud and misrepresentation, intentional inflection of emotional distress, and unlawful interference with parental rights”.

A June amendment of the lawsuit further detailed Lee’s claims of not signing any official adoption papers because she was in “duress” while also accusing Miley’s parents of “child abuse and endangerment”. Why? Because they allowed her to perform and enter the entertainment industry at a young age. On top of that, she said Billy Ray and Tish “threatened [her] with police action” after Miley was born.
That’s not all, though. Lee’s lawsuit mentioned TONS of other celebs, citing Neil Patrick Harris, Hillary Clinton, Julia Roberts, Sharon Osbourne, and Ozzy Osbourne as eyewitnesses. Taylor Swift was mentioned, as Lee demanded the singer return a scrapbook she allegedly gave her to pass on to Miley. She even named Dolly Parton as a defendant.
Wild… And honestly unbelievable. Sadly, this woman doesn’t sound okay…
On November 20, Billy Ray filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit. He said the suit was “false and absurd” and was only created for “purposes of harassing” his family. On Friday, the suit was officially dismissed by Davidson County Circuit Court.
