Melanie Chisholm is feeling grateful that her daughter wasn’t raised in the spotlight like Brooklyn Beckham was!
Amid Sporty Spice’s former bandmate Victoria Beckham‘s drama with her son and daughter-in-law, she’s feeling “relieved” that she won’t have to worry about her family business being made so public. As we’ve been following, Brooks and his wife Nicola Peltz have been tangled in a VERY public feud with Posh and David Beckham. And now, Mel C is weighing in.

Without naming Victoria directly, the 52-year-old said in an interview with The Sunday Times that her 16-year-old daughter Scarlet Starr has no plans to be famous:
“So relieved! It’s so hard to be in the shadow of a parent who’s had success. The thing is, with Scarlett, she’s not in the public eye. I made that conscious decision when she was a baby.”
And while she clarified that this isn’t shade — she added:
“Obviously I have friends who handle it very differently, each to their own, no judgment at all. But for me, probably because of my experiences with fame, I didn’t feel comfortable making that decision for her.”
We mean, it’s pretty obvious who she was talking about, even if she didn’t name names!
