The Nancy Guthrie case just got another potential clue!
Federal agents searching for answers in the presumed abduction of the elderly woman have reportedly recovered a black glove from the side of a road not far from her home. And while investigators are thus far staying tight-lipped about that, the discovery feels really significant.

According to a report from the New York Post on Wednesday, the glove was found roughly a mile and a half from the Tucson-area home of the 84-year-old mom of TODAY show anchor Savannah Guthrie. Detectives with the FBI’s Evidence Response Team were seen combing through the desert brush before retrieving the item from a shrub. Reports from the scene claim agents lifted the lone black glove from the scrubby roadside, placed it into an evidence bag, and took it away for analysis.
Earlier this week, authorities released surveillance footage that showed an unidentified man wearing gloves, a ski mask, and a holstered gun as he approached Nancy’s front door and appeared to disable her security camera. Those images were haunting. And now, a black glove seemingly similar to the one he was wearing turning up not far from her home deepens the mystery.
Officials have not confirmed who the glove belongs to, nor have they specifically tied it to the masked man seen on camera. Still, the resemblance to the gloves worn by the suspect is difficult to dismiss. Investigators are undoubtedly examining the item for DNA and other forensic clues that could move this case forward.
In the meantime, federal agents and sheriff’s deputies remain a constant presence in Nancy’s quiet desert neighborhood…
