Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Gushed About Jen Harley Hours Before Altercation & Kidnapping Arrest

In the hours before his disturbing arrest on kidnapping charges, after what’s being described as a horrifying domestic incident with on-again, off-again girlfriend Jen Harley, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro was busy talking her up to anyone who would listen — and showing no signs of distress.

The Jersey Shore star and his baby momma spoke to reporters and showed off major PDA at a launch party at a nightclub in West Hollywood on Thursday night, only for it all to fall apart hours later as he was taken in by the LAPD at the couple’s rented Airbnb over the apparent domestic altercation.

Speaking to Us Weekly yesterday, Ronnie went on — and on, and on — about his care and commitment to Jen, and how she “really does keep me level” along with 18-month-old daughter Ariana Sky. The Bronx native truly gushed about his longtime love, saying (below):

“Honestly, even though everyone thinks we’re toxic, she really does balance me out. She really does keep me level because with her I have her and the baby, which is a family, which is what I want at the end of the day.”

The 33-year-old continued:

“The Jersey Shore thing and being single, it will always be there. And Pauly [DelVecchio] and Vinny [Guadagnino] have proved that, like, 10 years later. It’s not what I want, it’s not I want to strive for, like, I’m doing what I’m doing. I’m building a business so that I can pass something down to my kids so that they can have something that I’ve never had and I’m not doing it for me. I’m blessed that Jersey Shore has given me enough that I’m thankful and I’m happy I’m doing this because I want to give more back to my family and my kids. That’s where I’m at.”

Wow! So positive and loving!

So wonderful to be thinking about his family’s future like that! So mature!

So… what happened?

Hours later, it was the LAPD — not Ronnie — who spoke again to Us Weekly, this time confirming a “physical altercation” and the use of force in a statement released early Friday morning about the TV star’s arrest (below):

“Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. When officers on location, the suspect was uncooperative. Officers had to use a taser so there was minor use of force that occurred.”

Not only have officers now confirmed the incident itself, and the use of a taser to bring down the longtime reality TV star, but 9-1-1 audio from the incident itself has already been released, too.

This morning, The Blast published audio between LAPD dispatchers and emergency responders as the latter group descended on Ronnie and Jen’s location, and it’s interesting to hear the discussion and descriptions as cops close in (below):

Whoa!

It’s interesting to hear the TV personality — who was apparently shirtless and wearing board shorts — was identified so quickly by name and by the show he made popular…

Clearly cops quickly must have realized what they were dealing with upon reaching the Hollywood Hills.

Local news outlets were on scene, too, and at least one journalist captured pictures of the buff suspect lying handcuffed on a stretcher after the incident (below):

What a night.

As we’ve been reporting, Ariana Sky was thankfully uninjured during the unfortunate altercation; multiple outlets claim Jen has “minor” injuries, too, so at least we’re thankful nobody appears to have been seriously hurt here.

Still, what a toll this takes on a family… Ugh…
