Britney Spears is really going through it.
As we previously reported, ahead of her DUI arrest, the Princess of Pop has been having a tumultuous few months. We heard that her ex Kevin Federline‘s book caused her to go into sort of a “downhill” spiral, which is so, so sad. But that’s not the only thing that’s got her so emotional, per a source for Page Six.
On Thursday, a close insider told the outlet that Brit was “crying and very tearful” while being booked:
“She was incredibly emotional. It’s been a very hard couple of months.”

The source said she “felt ashamed and embarrassed” and is “very sorry” for what went down. But who is she sorry to the most? The Britney Army. The insider dished:
“She doesn’t want to let anyone down, including her fans. The last thing she wants is to be judged publicly all over again.”
Just heartbreaking. Of course, Britney’s fans just want the best for her! But after years of public scrutiny, we can see how this would upset her so much.
