These two are really into each other… and when the relationship is like this, the dates don’t always have to be over the top to impress! FACTS!
Shawn Mendes was in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia this weekend when, during a fan Q&A before a concert, he was asked about what a typical date is like for him and girlfriend Camila Cabello. And surprisingly, at least in this case, it turns out that the stars really aren’t too different from us!

Responding to the fan, Mendes dished about his GF’s Disney-loving ways, as well as their particular penchant for caffeine (below):
“Camila and I will basically wake up and find the nearest coffee we can find. She’ll have, basically, half a coffee and I’ll have, like, three. We’re always in different countries and cities when we hang out with each other. Probably find some food, then an hour later we’d be like, ‘Are you hungry?’ and we’ll eat again. Probably watch a movie, Tangled. She loves Tangled.”
LOLz! With these two on tour seemingly all the time, date night in a new city sounds like fun… for a while!
It’s also interesting to hear the 22-year-old pop princess identifies with the Princess Rapunzel from the 2010 Disney animated film… you know, the one who was locked away in a tower since birth, only to be rescued by a prince! Does that make Shawn her prince, then?! Awww!
Other fans asked more questions about the relationship, too, and Shawn was in the mood to answer them, as well! Telling one fan about how Camila never fails to keep the conversation going (below):
“I don’t know, Camila is so good at coming up with random topics. One time we were having dinner and she pulled out this phone and a list on this phone was like, ‘What would you do if it was the last day on Earth?'”
Oooh! What would we do?! Probably watch Tangled, that’s what! JK!!!
