Hollywood Costume Designer SLAMS Late Kirstie Alley, Shannen Doherty, & Patrick Macnee In Scathing Recollection Of Working With Actors!

Jean-Pierre Dorléac has no f**ks to give.

The famous costume designer didn’t hold back while reflecting on working with some of Hollywood’s late greats… who in his opinion, are not so great! During a chat with the DailyMail.com over the weekend, Dorléac went off while reminiscing on Kirstie Alley back in the day:

“Kirstie was very crude and very brassy and coarse, irresponsible, never on time, a mess, a constant mess. We had to clean her uniform. She was supposed to be a travel agent in the series called Masquerade with Rod Taylor, and she sweated so badly because she drank.”

The costume designer reflected on making her a $350 pearl pink angora sweater dress only for the late actress to ruin it:

“It was a stunning thing for a scene where she had a major line delivery to do, and about three minutes before she did the scene, she went to the craft table service and picked up this great big chocolate donut and accidentally, supposedly, dropped it down the front of her dress. There was nothing but this big streak of chocolate through her breast all the way down to her belly button”

And apparently, it wasn’t just a one-time occurrence:

“She did that over and over again, plus she was constantly gaining weight, and she was always rude.”

Kirstie died of colon cancer 2022 at 71 years old. But she wasn’t the only screen queen he took issue with!

Dorléac went on to complain about working with Shannen Doherty on 1994 TV movie A Burning Passion:

“I did her this blue suit. I always go to the set to establish the costume before it’s shot and make certain everything was right, I said, ‘Oh, Shannen it just turned out to be so wonderful. It makes your eyes so blue.’ And she goes, ‘yeah, they are, aren’t they?’”

The following day, he outfitted Shannen in a tan outfit with a cream hat, which made her eyes appear a different shade:

“Then the next day, she’s doing something else, and it’s more of a vivid green, and her eyes are almost cat green, not hazel-y green, like mine or hers were originally.”

He asked her how she was able to seemingly change her eye color so quickly, and the question was apparently not well received:

“She answered: ‘Just I’ll keep your f**king mouth shut. I’m doing this.’ I said, ‘What are you talking about?’ She says, ‘I hate this goddamn movie, and I don’t want to play this Margaret Mitchell. Jesus! Who wants to play an old cripple like Margaret Mitchell?’”

Sheesh…

The costume designer claimed Shannen was not on the best of terms with producer Renée Valente at the time and purposely changed her eye color to try and “throw the film off.”

Is that a bit of a reach?… Dorléac added:

“She was a very unhappy girl. She smoked constantly, she ate hardly anything. She was so tiny and thin. She swore like a workman. I mean, I’ve never seen anybody who had a filthier mouth than she did.”

Shannen passed away at 53 years old following a lengthy battle with stage 4 breast cancer in 2024.

Finally, Dorléac set his scope on Patrick Macnee, whom he called a “major a**hole.” Dorléac claimed the actor sexually harassed him on the set of Battlestar Galactica in 1978:

“He started taking off his clothes, and he said, ‘I just don’t know how to thank you for making this for me… He got down to his shorts, his underwear, and I’m in alone with this guy, and he sort of comes close to me, and he pulls them down, and he pulls out his old swan and started shaking it around.”

Gross!

The costume designer claimed Patrick then began touching himself inappropriately and asked him to join, but he refused. The interaction ended abruptly when a tailor arrived to hem the costume:

“He struggled to pull up his pants, and he put on the suit, and he was pissed as hell. He just pouted all the way through the fitting.”

Dorléac claimed the costume was vandalized shortly after, costing the production $6,000 for an emergency replacement:

“He was just a major a**hole, and he never spoke to me thereafter, and they never hired him to work at Universal ever again.”

Yikes!!!

Patrick died of natural causes at 93 years old in 2015.
