Jane Fonda has a jealous streak!
The 88-year-old actress has something to say about the Robert Redford In Memoriam tribute at this year’s Oscars… It should have been her presenting, not Barbra Streisand! During an interview with Entertainment Tonight at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party, the screen legend playfully jabbed:
“I want to know how come Streisand was up there doing that for Redford? She only made one movie with him, I made four. I had more to say.”
LOLz!
Barbra starred alongside Robert in 1973’s The Way We Were, while Jane starred alongside him in 1966’s The Chase, 1967’s Barefoot in the Park, 1979’s The Electric Horseman, and 2017’s Our Souls at Night.
On Sunday night, Barbra took the Dolby Theatre stage to lead an emotional tribute to the late actor, who passed away at 89 years old in September. You can watch the full thing (below):
But as emotional as it was, Jane thinks she could have added more. On what she remembers about working with Robert, the political activist gushed:
“I was always in love with him. Most gorgeous human being, and such great values, and he did a lot for movies. He really changed movies, he lifted up independent movies.”
He truly did! Watch her interview (below):
