Momma bear has entered the conversation.
It’s been a tough year for the Osbourne family… The death of Ozzy Osbourne last summer has affected Sharon, Aimee, Kelly, and Jack in different and equally challenging ways, But for Kelly, her grief has impacted her wellbeing. Recently, critics have jumped on the 41-year-old’s physical appearance as she’s cut a noticeably more slimmed-down figure in recent outings. They’ve accused her of abusing weight loss drugs and jumped to conclusions about her health, resulting in a vulnerable public statement from the TV star. Earlier this month, she took to her Instagram Story to call fans cruel for “kicking” her while she’s “clearly going through something” in the wake of her father’s death:
“There is a special kind of cruelty in harming someone who is clearly going through something. kicking me while I’m down, doubting my pain, spreading my struggles as gossip, and turning your back when I need support and love most. None of it proves strength; it only reveals a profound absence of compassion and character. I’m currently going through the hardest time in my life. I should not even have to defend myself. But I won’t sit here and allow myself to be dehumanized in such a way!”
So awful that she even had to make such a statement! But now, her mom is backing her up.
While at the Elton John AIDS Foundation’s Academy Awards Viewing Party on Sunday, Sharon told Extra how “proud” she is of Kelly for standing up for herself and had a message for those dishing out the criticisms:
“Listen… people that give it out have to get it back.”
It’s like that old saying of “what goes around comes around” and Sharon seems at peace believing karma will help Kelly’s haters reflect. Watch the clip (below):

Following Ozzy’s death last summer, Kelly admitted she was finding it difficult to eat:
“To the people who keep thinking they’re being funny and mean by writing comments like ‘Are you ill,’ or ‘Get off Ozempic, you don’t look right.’ My dad just died, and I’m doing the best that I can, and the only thing I have to live for right now is my family.”
Sharon followed up by defending her daughter on Piers Morgan Uncensored:
“She’s right. She’s lost her daddy, she can’t eat right now.”
Our hearts continue to be with the Osbourne family as they navigate the immense loss of their patriarch.
