Joe Giudice Says He Wants To Pursue MMA Fighting In Italy Amid Deportation Case

Joe Giudice has big plans to fight his deportation case AND fight in the octagon someday.

On Sunday night, the Real Housewives of New Jersey star and his wife Teresa Giudice joined Andy Cohen for a special tell-all episode of Watch What Happens Live where they discussed everything from the state of their marriage to what’s next for Joe in his new Italian life… and apparently he’s serious about becoming a mixed martial arts fighter!

There had been a few rumors floating around that the 49-year-old’s MMA hobby might become his new career and he addressed those comments head-on in conversation with Cohen. When the host breached the subject, he replied:

“Listen, I don’t know. I mean, I’d like to. I would like to do something.”

After some prodding about his potential future as a fighter, Joe continued:

“I like that and I tell you why. … I’ve done that my whole life and I’ve always had to pay to go beat people up. Now, you get paid to go do it. And you know something, I have a lot of aggression. I have a lot of aggression in me. I would love to just do it just to go in and fight somebody just because I want to fight somebody.”

Hmm, he’s got a point. A controlled environment where you can legally let out your anger with the necessary tutelage and training might not be such a bad idea at this stage in his life.

Plus, the Bravo personality’s already proven he can hold his own, judging by the impressive pics and videos from the gym his 18-year-old daughter Gia Giudice shared on social media earlier this month.

Yeah, you’re definitely looking good over there, Joe!

But while Giudice has been training for the sport, being in Italy poses a bit of a challenge for the father of four stepping into the profession. He noted (below):

“There’s no MMA around here. I gotta like practice on my own … The only thing I could do is go up north.”

The embattled patriarch says he’s still doing everything he can and using any resources necessary to make his dream come true:

“I just got internet the other day, so I mean I found one in Naples, so I’m going to be looking into it. I do want to look into it. If we could get somebody from over there to set it up, it would be even better. I mean, I’ll go through the whole training course, everything else.”

He added that during his time in prison, he was teaching some of his fellow inmates about MMA, too:

“I was even teaching guys in prison. We were fighting in prison. I’ve been training literally for like three-and-a-half years.”

We’re glad to see Joe’s physical transformation and the healthier lifestyle he adopted in prison is lasting well past his sentence behind bars.

As for his marriage to Teresa, that’s still an open-ended question, although recent signs show things haven’t been looking too good for ’em. During their WWHL special, the 47-year-old said of her husband (below):

“I want the best for him. I want him to happy and I want him to be successful. But I don’t know if we could stay together, him living across the country.”

The reality TV star said she and her four daughters, including Gia, Gabriella, Milania, and Audriana Giudice, have plans to visit Joe on a “make or break” trip to Italy in a couple of weeks. So, we’ll be sure to keep you posted!
