Poor Britney Spears!! According to boyfriend Sam Asghari, the pop queen broke a bone in her foot “doing what she loves which is dancing.”
The Toxic songstress had been spotted out and about in Los Angeles last week with a medical boot on her foot, and while we were worried the extent of her injury was unclear at the time. She is a dancer after all, injuries are part of the job!
However, it was worse than just a sprain, and she is now rocking a full cast!

On Tuesday afternoon, Sam took to Instagram to share an update on his famous girlfriend. Along with two photos (below) and a video the 26-year-old dancer wrote in his post:
“When you break something it tends to heal stronger specially when you’re my Girl👌🏽 my lioness broke her metatarsal bone on her foot doing what she loves which is dancing 💃 Wishing her the best recovery so she can jump, run, and dance her butt off 💪🏽 #stronger”
Here’s some specific info on the bone she broke via Healthline.com:
“Metatarsals are part of the bones of the mid-foot and are tubular in shape. They are named by numbers and start from the medial side outward. The medial side is the same side as the big toe.Metatarsals are convex in shape (arch upward), are long bones, and give the foot its arch. They work with connective tissues, ligaments and tendons, to provide movement in the foot.”
Ouch!!

We’re so glad Brit can keep her sense of humor with such a painful injury!
Along with the photos, Asghari shared a cute video filmed by Brit while he finished up writing out the word “Stronger” on her cast — more than likely inspired by her iconic song of the same name. The momma of two can be heard letting out a hoarse “I love you baby” and “thank you” as he writes the “r” in green marker toward the end of her cast.

Unfortunately, she’s not the only Spears who took a tumble recently! Jamie Lynn Spears‘ eldest daughter Maddie, had a spill on Valentine’s Day and landed herself in the hospital with an injured arm. Her momma wrote on IG:
“This one keeps us on our toes, no matter what the occasion is… little accident at recess today, but nothing too serious. Thanks to everyone who helped us get this checked on quick, and everyone who text to check in!”
Much like her Aunt Britney, the 11-year-old was all smiles despite her condition. Ch-ch-check out the sweet pic (below):
