The cause of Harry Hains’ death has been revealed.

According to an announcement on Tuesday from the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office, the Australian actor died of fentanyl intoxication. The manner of death has been ruled an accident.

As we reported, Hains’ mother, Jade Badler, revealed in January that the American Horror Story actor had died. In a series of photos of the 27-year-old, she wrote:

“On Jan 7 my beautiful son died. He was 27 and had the world at his feet . But sadly he struggled with mental illness and addiction. A brilliant spark shone bright too short a time .. I will miss you Harry every day of my life.”

Hains joins the long list of artists who lost their lives to fentanyl, including Prince, Mac Miller, and Lil Peep.
