Florida FedEx Driver Sanitizes Package For 11-Year-Old Immunocompromised Girl

This will warm your cold quarantined heart!!

While some delivery drivers have been seen SPITTING on packages amid the coronavirus pandemic, others are going above and beyond to make sure the goods they’re delivering to customers are safe.

One Florida woman says a FedEx employee has given her hope after he sanitized the packages he was delivering to her home. Carrie Blasi‘s outside cameras captured the moment when a delivery driver saw the note on her door which said someone who lived there has an autoimmune disorder.

Blasi told WPTV:

“We thank you so much, for doing something you weren’t even asked to do.”

The note was regarding Carrie’s 11-year-old daughter Emma, who has type 1 diabetes. She was very appreciative of what Justin Bradshaw did to keep her safe:

“I really appreciate what you did for us.”

The message, which was taped to their Boca Raton door reads in part:

“Those who are immunocompromised are more likely to contract coronavirus (COVID-19) and experience life-threatening complications. Due to the widespread outbreak of the virus we are using an abundance of caution through practicing self-isolation and social distancing. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.”

It was Justin’s own experience with having a young daughter who was a “miracle” that he was prompted to go the extra mile. He shared while video-chatting with Carrie and Emma:

“It is crazy the amount of measures we have to go through to stay safe. And when I seen the sign, I was like… the first thing I thought of was Nova, because she was a micro-preemie. And she’s very high risk.”

His wife Yasmin says their daughter was born at 28 weeks, and weighed just one pound and 11 ounces

“She has been a miracle baby since day 1.”

At the end of the day, Bradshaw says this was just a small way for him to help someone else as an essential worker during these difficult times:

“I feel like we should all do something to better the situation right now.”

If Carrie had never tweeted (below) about his kind act, it would have been appreciated, but gone unnoticed. Yasmin shared:

“He texted me at work yesterday and said, ‘I made the news.’ and I am like, ‘What the heck did you do?'”

Faith in humanity = restored AF!! Let’s all learn to #BeLikeJustin.
