The KarJenners might be used to flying above the rules for the most part, but fans swiftly reminded them the coronavirus pandemic provides no exception for their usual shenanigans!
Fans lashed out after Khloé Kardashian shared scenes from an at-home playdate between her daughter True Thompson and cousins Stormi Webster, North West, Chicago West, and Psalm West on Tuesday afternoon. Based on what was shared across social media, it appears the famous fam needs a little refresher on what social distancing actually means!

Before we dive into the messy drama, we’ll point out the Keeping Up with the Kardashians stars are not alone in that department. Some states in the US have started reopening while others remain closed amid the coronavirus pandemic, which has caused some confusion about overall public health and safety. But as of right now, citizens of El Lay are still required to wear face coverings whenever you’re out of your home and also while interacting with people you don’t live with — even if you are outdoors or in nature.
Given that information, people were confused (read: enraged) to see KoKo and her family’s rather large backyard gathering — especially when we all know they haven’t been quarantining together this entire time! The festivities, which doubled as a birthday celebration for Scott Disick, included a bouncy castle for the little ones to jump around in and plenty of finger foods to enjoy. As we’ve alluded to, the rules were NOT followed at this Kardashian bash!
After one Instagram user called out the Good American founder for acting so carelessly in the comments section of a fan Kardashian account that documented the party, she replied:
“They are all cousins. So we know how they have been quarantined and there’s less than 10 people with us. It’s literally what the governor states is perfectly OK to do in the state of CA.”
The 35-year-old followed up with another dig at her haters, writing:
“Not even trying to be rude. Drives me wild when people act as if they know. Of course we want to protect ourselves. Simply for the sake of our angels, not to mention our own health. But it’s human nature I guess. Anyways… sending you my love.”
As seen (below):
Eek… there are definitely some holes in her logic here! We know isolation has been rough and kids definitely need some form of socialization at that age. However, was it absolutely necessary for this playdate to happen right now?? Could they have held off for just a bit longer? And since they couldn’t wait, at least throw on some masks!
It seems even Khloé understands how serious we should take these safety measures because she posted a PSA about it after sharing all those party snaps! But as we mentioned earlier, do these rules not apply to her?
Los Angeles’ own coronavirus fact guide states the “safer at home” order is “a legally enforceable order. Failure to heed the order is a misdemeanor that can result in fines or jail time.”
And if any of Kardashian-Jenner fam are confused about the rules, it doesn’t matter if there are ten people or less involved. “Play group sports, or engage in outdoor activities in groups of any size” are NOT allowed, as well as visiting “friends and family if there is no urgent need.” Those are on periodtttttt.
What do U make of all of this, Perezcious readers?? The KarJenners have a massive platform so needless to say, people are looking into their moves closer than most. Do U think they made the right call here??
