Jaime King‘s divorce just keeps getting messier!
In new court docs obtained by ET, both the Hart of Dixie alum and her estranged husband Kyle Newman have waged war on each other in the form of new accusations of harassment, drug abuse, unfit parenting, and more.

The 41-year-old star claims that since the birth of the couple’s eldest son, James, she has been subject to repeated abuses by her ex, including recording her without consent, harassment, chasing her into his car, keeping her isolated from loved ones, and even staging a fake intervention to force her into confinement.
And witnesses are already getting involved! Jaime says her sister-in-law, Tahnee King, has seen this alleged abuse first-hand and has even heard Newman call her inappropriate names in front of James and Leo. She explained that because of her husband she has suffered from emotional damage, anxiety, and fear.
The most recent incident of alleged abuse was on May 7, just over a week before the White Chicks star filed for divorce, claiming the director has continued “to refuse to return the children that he is withholding from out of state. On May 7th, 2020, he told me [Jaime] he is having people watch my movements and my home.”
As part of the protection order, Miz King is requesting her two boys be included because their father has allegedly refused to return their children to California, and is “electing to remain in Pennsylvania without her consent.”
Per the new docs, the actress also expressed fear that the Fanboys director will “abscond” with the children, and has already emptied some items of value from their joint safe and cleared cash from their bank account. She requests Kyle stay at least 100-yards away from her, her home, job, and vehicle, and has asked that the court enforce a move out order as she “purchased the home before marriage with separate property and is the only person on title to the home.”
Additionally, King asks that Newman stay at least five yards from their dogs and is asking for temporary use of her Mercedes, so he “cannot track” her “movements through the internal tracking system.” She would also like “exclusive use of all home security systems and surveillance systems.”

You’ll likely recall how Newman alleged his wife is a “chronic drug addict and alcoholic” and “refuses to acknowledge that she has a problem, let alone seek meaningful treatment for such problem.” He further added the actress used drugs while pregnant, which resulted in their youngest son Leo “being born addicted to opiates.”
He declared in the docs:
“I have spent the last decade and more trying to get Jaime help, covering for her when she was drunk, high, driving under the influence, missing for days at a time, late for work, fighting with friends, family, co-workers, employees, excusing her innumerable infidelities as being only the result of the drugs, and taking care of her when she was out of her mind, delusional, or catatonic as a result of her substance abuse and eating disorders.”
Yikes!! If true, we sincerely hope she’s able to get the help that Kyle says she needs. He added:
“I have done everything I can think of to try and get her well so she can be the mother to our children that I know she can be, including interventions, working with her doctors to wean her off opiates, and trying to convince her to get into rehab many, many times.”
The Barely Lethal director is requesting joint legal custody and full physical custody of the kids, with monitored visitation rights granted to King, and asks that his ex-wife submit to random drug testing and complete a parenting course. Furthermore, he would like it if neither party discuss the ongoing litigation in front of the kids.

King’s request for a temporary restraining order was granted, a source tells ET. However, her full custody request was denied pending the hearing, which is currently scheduled for June 29. The temporary restraining order she was granted in May against her husband will stay in effect until then.
The exes will also attend a September 9 divorce hearing, and have been ordered a “Family Centered Case Resolution Conference” for the case, meaning the two must “meet and confer” via phone or in-person meeting about requests, financial documents, and more, ahead of the September date.
In addition, they must attend meditation on August 18 to discuss their custody agreement and visitation schedule for their kids. Both parties must attend unless they complete an agreement online via Online Dispute Resolution (ODR).
We’re sure there will be plenty more drama in the coming months from these two as they head to court!
