Ahhhh, the lifestyles of the rich and the famous… and, uh, the felonious.
Embattled parents Lori Loughlin and Mossimo Giannulli have resigned from their membership at the super-swanky Bel-Air Country Club in West Los Angeles after a war of words broke out on the membership board over a decision to temporarily suspend the couple as they complete their prison sentences for their role in the ongoing college admissions scandal.

According to sources close to the drama who spoke to TMZ, the club’s Board of Directors voted unanimously to suspend Lori and Mossimo from access to the club. However, the board also unanimously determined that it was apparently in their best interest to lift that suspension after the pair serves their time in prison, and allow them back into the high-culture fold.
Well, that decision set off a HUGE firestorm among club members, creating an incredible battle that ultimately ended in Lori and Mossimo simply walking away to save face. Past club board president Michael Gallagher fired off a truly incredible letter criticizing the board for their decision to give the Fuller House star and her husband a second chance, writing (below):
“This unprecedented board decision to allow felons to continue as members causes irreparable reputational harm to the Club and its members … BACC is a Club of gentlemen and gentlewomen. Gentlemen are not felons, and felons in turn are not gentlemen. You cannot be a member in good standing and guilty of a felony at the same time, it is a non sequitur.”
Whoa!!!!
He wasn’t done there, either, calling the Club a “laughingstock” should the board allow Olivia Jade‘s parents to stay on after seeing the inside of a prison cell for their college admissions scandal misdeeds:
“The board action, taken on behalf of the Club’s membership, now establishes our Club as a place of refuge and comfort for known felons … This matter is already well known in the golfing world, domestically and internationally, and our Club has become a laughingstock.”
Yikes!!!
Writing out “…a place of refuge and comfort for known felons…” is just an incredible sentence to put in a strongly-worded letter to a country club board, isn’t it?! But also, like, he’s not wrong??? Just saying!!! (BTW, if you want to read the whole letter, you can do so HERE.)
It all ended up being a moot point after Lori and her man resigned from the club, anyways. Safe to say they won’t be going back to Bel-Air after they get out of the slammer! Gotta find a new way to spend your social time, y’all…

It’s interesting, though, because as TMZ points out, Rick Singer — the mastermind behind the entire college admissions scandal and the guy who eventually flipped on Lori, Mossimo, Felicity Huffman Macy, and others — was very well-connected with rich parents on the west side of LA. Point being it wouldn’t be that surprising to learn he knows (and may have worked with…) other pairs of parents from that very same club in the past! Food for thought!!!
What do y’all think about all this rich person drama, Perezcious readers?! Juicy, isn’t it?? We can’t get enough of this behind-the-scenes country club controversy! LOLz!!!
