Thomas Ravenel is a father again!
The embattled former Southern Charm star and ex Heather Mascoe welcomed their son, Jonathan Jackson Ravenel, on June 29, he revealed to DailyMail.com, along with the first look at the newborn.

He shared:
“We’ve named him Jonathan Jackson Ravenel and he was born by C-section on June 29, 7lbs 4oz and 20.25 inches long. We are both very happy. Heather is a phenomenal mom and they’re both doing well.”
As you’re likely aware, Ravenel already has two children, 6-year-old daughter Kensie and 4-year-old son Saint with his ex Kathryn Dennis. There’s definitely been no shortage of drama between the two since their split, but it seems that things have been peaceful as of late, especially after seeing them party together earlier this year.
Thomas first dropped the news of Mascoe’s pregnancy three months ago, with Dennis learning of the news through his attorney. Today, they are on good terms he said, but explained the birth of their new half-sibling to his kiddos was a bit difficult:
“It’s kind of difficult to explain to them, you know, ”This is your half-brother – different mothers, same father.’ They were a little confused. In the end I just told them, ”You’ll understand when you’re older!'”
Still, Kensie and Saint have gotten to see their new sibling over FaceTime and are looking forward to meeting Jonathan IRL:
“But they’ve Face Timed with the baby and they’re very excited to meet him. They’re getting ready to spend the week with their mother so we’re hoping they’ll meet him after that.”
Due to the coronavirus pandemic, which is currently spiking in southern states including South Carolina, Ravenel and Mascoe have had to be “real careful” about who meets their newborn so far, which is why the new momma and baby are staying outside the city. And apparently Jonathan is already enjoying the nature sounds of his rural surroundings, his father shared:
“He loves the sound of frogs!”
The former Treasurer of South Carolina (he resigned after being indicted on federal cocaine distribution charges) and registered nurse are no longer together as a couple but are “really good friends,” and will seemingly co-parent their new arrival:
“That’s how I’d put our relationship, really good friends. She’s happy and I’m happy.”
This is certainly a far cry from this past September when he pled guilty to third-degree assault and battery charges almost a year after being accused of sexual assault by his former nanny.
Hopefully he’s a changed man, so his three children can have a healthy upbringing.
