LaKeith Stanfield is sorry to bother you with his concerning Instagram posts.
The Get Out actor issued a brief statement on the social site Tuesday morning to let fans know he’s okay after a string of disturbing, since-deleted posts sparked alarm.

The 28-year-old posted an image of text reading:
“I’m ok everyone! I appreciate everyone checking in on me but I’m good. Im not harming myself. Much love ????”
He also issued a quick apology in the caption, writing:
“I’m ok everyone I apologize for making you worry.”
Fans breathed a sigh of relief, since many were worried about the actor’s well-being when he posted cryptic videos that showed him pouring alcohol into a prescription pill bottle for beta-blockers, alongside captions like:
“I like to be by myself because i can hurt myself and no one tells me to stop or fakes like they care.”
“Reality is boring and moves too slow and no one is trustworthy.”
“Bottoms up”
Many were disturbed by the posts, and not just fans. Patton Oswalt also expressed concern and took to Twitter to tell users that he’d reached out to mutual friends to make sure LaKeith was okay.
The 51-year-old comedian wrote in a since-deleted tweet:
“I have no way to contact Lakeith Stanfield directly. I’ve reached out to some friends we have in common. But can someone on here who knows him PLEASE reach out to him? Like RIGHT NOW? He’s posting stuff on IG that has me worried for his well-being. Thank you.”
Soon, LA-based Platform PR, the publicists on behalf of Stanfield, tweeted that the Knives Out star was “well,” writing:
“Everyone! LaKeith is well. Thank you for the concern. We have spoken to him. The love you all have is appreciated.”
Oswalt shared the update with his followers, writing in a followup tweet:
“Just got confirmation Lakeith is okay. Sorry if I overreacted. Okay getting off Twitter for awhile. Text or DM someone you haven’t texted or DM’ed in awhile and tell them a cool memory you have about them. Good night.”
Phew.
Don’t scare us like that again, LaKeith!
