Ryan Reynolds Is Making Hundreds Of Millions On Sale Of Aviation Gin! See His HILARIOUS Response!

Ryan Reynolds has long been doing pretty well for himself with this whole acting thing he’s got going on… but he just took it to the next level and beyond after selling his Aviation American Gin company!

According to ETDiageo — the world’s largest spirits maker — has reached an agreement to acquire the gin company in which the Deadpool star has been a co-owner for the last several years. And it’s not for pocket change, either; Diageo is acquiring Aviation Gin LLC and associated Davos Brands LLC for a whopping $610 million based on sales over a ten-year period! Holy s**t!!!

The 43-year-old film star released a statement about the sale as part of a press release announcing the deal, sharing the following words with the media about his big payday (below):

“A little over two years ago, I became an owner of Aviation Gin because I love the taste of Aviation more than any other spirit. What I didn’t expect was the sheer creative joy learning a new industry would bring. Growing the brand with my company, Maximum Effort Marketing, has been among the most fulfilling projects I’ve ever been involved with. I want to thank Diageo for their incredible team and passion. We’re so excited for the next chapter of Aviation Gin, which, I promise, will require just as little reading.”

Ha! Reynolds will retain an “ongoing ownership interest” in the company even after the sale, too. So… all’s well that ends well, then, right? The dude from Waiting got PAID, and that’s that? Oh yeah, there’s just one more thing to report on: the earn-out!!!

In celebration of the sale itself, Blake Lively‘s husband opted to create a truly epic out-of-office email response for anyone seeking more info on the gin company. After all, he’s cashed out and riding off into the sunset, right?! No need for him to bother with boring old emails any longer! Well… not quite!

See, an “earn out” means he’s going to get paid over the next few years based on how well the brand continues to sell — which means he’s not exactly in tropical island mode yet. And he’s laughing off the distinction.

According to ET, when you try to email the A-list star, you get the following bounce-back response (below):

“Thanks for your email. I am currently out of the office but will still be very hard at work selling Aviation Gin. For quite a long time, it seems. In related news, I just learned what an ‘earn out’ is… And I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize to everyone I told to go f**k themselves in the last 24 hours. My lawyers just explained how long it takes to achieve an ‘earn out’… so… turns out I’m not as George Clooney as I thought. The point is, to those listed below, I’m sorry… and I’ll indeed be needing your help in the coming months and years. Thanks in advance!

Mom, Blake, Peter, Diageo CEO, The Rock, George Clooney, Southern Glazer’s, Betty White, TGI Friday’s, Baxter, Calisthenics, AMC Theaters, Total Wine, The Number 8, Don Saladino, Darden, The Head of Alfredo Garcia, Soothing Lavender Eye Pillows.”

LOLz!!! Love to see Betty White and the number 8 in there… what is this, Sesame Street?! Ha! But seriously… congrats to Ryan, everybody working with Aviation Gin, the folks over at Diageo, and everybody else involved in this huge transaction! Never a dull moment for the Reynolds-Lively family, it seems! Time to crack open a bottle now and celebrate!
