It’s happening, you guys!

After that infamous 2019 post that turned “the backrooms” into an urban legend, we’re finally getting a movie about what became a legendary creepypasta! In case you’re not familiar, on 4Chan nearly seven years ago, an anonymous user posted a liminal picture of a HobbyTown being renovated.

They attached the caption:

“If you’re not careful and you noclip out of reality in the wrong areas, you’ll end up in the Backrooms, where it’s nothing but the stink of old moist carpet, the madness of mono-yellow, the endless background noise of fluorescent lights at maximum hum-buzz, and approximately six hundred million square miles of randomly segmented empty rooms to be trapped in. God save you if you hear something wandering around nearby, because it sure as hell has heard you.”

Creepy AF!

YouTuber Kane Pixels AKA Kane Parsons took this idea and ran with it, creating a now-viral video series on his channel based on this idea. And now, A24 has picked up the idea and is giving us a film! They’re even getting Kane to direct it!
