Miley Cyrus and Cody Simpson are taking a huge step in their relationship — their *professional* relationship, that is!
According to TMZ, the couple are on the road to forming a new music project together, as Miley’s company has filed legal documents requesting ownership of the name Bandit & Bardot!
Sure, that could mean a lot of things. But there are a few clues teasing that Bandit & Bardot is indeed the publicly affectionate couple.
First off, E News reported that the now-active Instagram account for Bandit & Bardot happens to be following two people: Mileybird and Codester. Now, as of this writing, the account is following zero accounts; which might mean Miley and Cody caught on to the headlines and decided to play games with the internet.

Then there’s the fact that Cody straight up hinted that a collab with Miley could be in the near future. He told E! News at the 2019 GQ Men of the Year party:
“Yeah definitely. We’re looking at it. We are getting all the songs down and then seeing who would make sense for what. [My album’s] going to be cool. It’s going to be pretty much a rock album. A lot of guitar.”
He also teased the album could be coming sometime in 2020, adding:
“Working on a project at the moment and recording throughout the holidays and should have an album out next year.”
But before Bandit & Bardot assemble, the two will be spending the holidays separately with their own family and friends. As Miley was recently enjoying her time having dance parties with Noah and Brandi Cyrus, Cody celebrated his debut poetry collection called Prince Neptune.
While the two will remain apart for weeks on end, it’s been said the long distance actually works for their relationship!
A source explained to People last month:
“Miley and Cody have their separate lives. Cody had to stay in L.A. but has visited Miley in Tennessee. They have a very easy relationship. They see each other when they can, and when they are apart, things are good too. This works for both of them.”
Let’s hope touring together as Bandit & Bardot works for them, too!
