Alexandra Paul saves human lives on the beach and canine lives from breeders.
The 62-year-old actress, who starred in Baywatch from 1992 to 1997, was arrested in Wisconsin over the weekend for her alleged involvement in an animal rights protest. According to the Dane County Sheriff’s Office, the beach babe was one of 60 activists who played a role in an operation to free beagles from controversial breeding facility Ridglan Farms, which is located in Blue Mounds. She ended up being one of 27 individuals arrested in the protest. According to criminal records obtained by TMZ, Alexandra was booked on Sunday on one count of trespassing.
In footage shared by WMTV, several activists clad in white protective suits are seen physically carrying 31 beagles out of the facility. Watch (below):
According to the outlet, the beagles Alexandra worked to free are used in scientific research at Ridglan Farms, which has been embroiled in countless legal battles over the past several years. They’ve consistently denied reports of animal abuse, claiming they operate within the bounds of federal and state regulations. However, now, they have now agreed to surrender their breeding license by July 1 as the direct result of an animal welfare investigation.

As for the liberated beagles, Dane County Sheriff Kalvin Barrett said some were recovered and returned to the farm, “but several beagles remain unaccounted for.” He shared:
“Two vehicles, along with burglary tools and other evidence, were seized at the scene … The Dane County Sheriff’s Office understands how deeply people feel for the beagles at Ridglan Farms, and we respect their right to express that passion through peaceful protests. Our role is to keep everyone safe and to respond when unlawful activity takes place. We encourage anyone with concerns about animal welfare or research practices to engage through lawful and constructive avenues.”
