Britney Spears’ First Ex Husband Defends Her Amid DUI Arrest: ‘Let The Facts Come Out’

Britney Spears‘s first ex husband is defending her after her DUI arrest.

As you know, we’ve been following the story of Britney’s arrest. She was taken into custody temporarily on Wednesday night after getting pulled over in El Lay. After this, she was reportedly taken to the hospital, where her closest friends and family are said to have started working on getting her some help.

Sources allege her ex Kevin Federline‘s book was what triggered her recent “downhill” spiral, which led to a few months of struggling emotionally before the arrest. Such a sad situation — but her OTHER ex, Jason Alexander, is on her side. This isn’t the first time he’s coming to her defense, either.

Jason is the 44-year-old’s first husband, which she was married to after a wild night out in Vegas for just 55 hours. And he took to Instagram on Thursday to speak out for Brit. He wrote in a lengthy post:

“Everyone needs to slow down with the headlines about Britney Spears. If reports are accurate that she blew a .06, that’s below the legal limit in most states. And if the only substances in her system were legally prescribed medications, that changes the narrative completely.”

He continued, slamming the internet for their wild “speculation” on the subject when things are still being investigated:

“At most, what’s being discussed right now could potentially amount to minor misdemeanor charges — things like reckless driving or simple possession if a substance was found in the car. But the internet has already jumped straight to “drunk driving,” “rehab,” and all kinds of speculation that hasn’t been proven.”

Britney’s former childhood friend then added:

“This is exactly how media narratives spiral out of control. Rumors spread faster than facts, and suddenly someone is being judged before the truth is even clear. Britney Spears deserves the same thing anyone else does: facts, fairness, and due process — not headlines built on speculation. Let the facts come out before turning someone’s life into another media circus.”

He also put the hashtags #BritneySpears and #JusticeForBritney. See the post (below):
