The Havana songstress reflected on when things with the 21-year-old went from platonic friendship to… something more:

“During I Know What You Did Last Summer, I really bonded with him as more than a friend. I think he did, too, but we were both really young, and he was experiencing the pressures of his career. I don’t think we knew what to do with those feelings. It was this awkward thing where we both liked each other, but we weren’t together. It was just weird.

An energy was there from the beginning, but after that song, we didn’t spend as much time together. Our paths just didn’t cross in that way romantically until we started hanging out again and writing. For me, it just brought it back.”

Awww, s’cute!!

Discussing the influence of romantic comedy movies on her music videos and songs, Cabello shared her top pick:

“I love the movie About Time… It’s with Rachel McAdams. It’s my favorite romantic movie; super underrated, in my opinion.”

Ah yes, another sweet timey wimey flick from Rachel “I only date time travelers” McAdams!

Speaking of Regina George, Camila says Rachel also falls into the category of favorite fictional couples:

OK, Noah and Allie from The Notebook… Rapunzel and Eugene from Tangled. I was going to say Carrie Bradshaw and Mr. Big [from Sex and the City], but I feel that their relationship is a bit toxic. But I still love them in their early days.”

Phew! At least we don’t have to worry Shawn is giving her the Mr. Big treatment! (He def seems like more of an Aidan, right?)

As for Shawn and Camila’s IRL romance, it seems things couldn’t be going better right now! Most recently, the two got inked together (though their tattoo’s don’t match) by Kane Navasard, and it was an especially significant moment for the former Fifth Harmony member as it marked her first tattoo.

While the Stitches singer got the letter “A” behind his ear for his sister, Aaliyah, the Cuban songstress opted for a quote from Shakespeare In Love (another romantic flick) on her inner finger.

Ch-ch-check out the fresh ink (below):

As much as we like this couple, it’s probably for the best that they hold off on getting matching tats this early on in the relationship. After all, they’ve only been together since July, and we wouldn’t want an Ariana Grande/Pete Davidson post-breakup coverup to happen…
