Chris Rock & Diplo Walk 6 Miles & Ride in Back of Pickup Truck to Make it Out of Burning Man Festival

Chris Rock and Diplo have officially made it out of Burning Man Festival.

Earlier on Saturday (September 2) it was confirmed that Chris, 58, was one of thousands who were affected by a “shelter in place” order due to horrible storms in the area of the annual event.

He offered fans safe at home some insight into the situation on the ground, revealing that both the bathroom and food situations were not looking great. He also shared a video revealing just how bad the mud was at the venue thanks to the downpour.

However, Diplo confirmed that they safely made it home. He shared the full story and a video of their escape!

Diplo hopped on Instagram to share a video of himself, Chris and a few other people riding in the back of a pickup truck. He said that they walked six miles and hitchhiked to pull it off.

There was a reason the producer was going to get out – he had a performance on the same night in Washington DC.

“I legit walked the side of the road for hours with my thumb out cuz i have a show in dc tonight and didnt want to let yall down,” he explained in the caption. “Also shoutout to this guy for making the smart purchase of a truck not knowing it was for this exact moment ❤️”

He also poked fun at Chris, who was mostly worried about getting himself a cold brew once they finally made it out.

We’re so glad that they are both safe and hope that everyone else at the festival is also able to get home soon.

If you were unaware, Diplo shared some very sad personal news last week.
