It’s every parent’s worst nightmare. And poor Ned LeDeux is living it right now.
The country singer’s daughter passed away last Sunday after what’s being called a “tragic choking accident in the home.”

Haven had just turned two years old in September, something the proud father happily shared on social media.
The LeDoux family waited a week before sharing the news on Ned’s official Facebook page on Sunday:
“It is with great sadness that Ned & Morgan inform friends and fans that their two year old daughter Haven passed away on October 20th due to a tragic choking accident in the home. The LeDoux family appreciates your love and support and is requesting privacy at this time.”
According to Taste of Country, the original post had more detail, including the words:
“…paramedics were called to the family’s northeast Kansas home on October 20th and arrived quickly, but attempts to resuscitate her were unsuccessful…”
However, this information must have been edited out as of this writing; perhaps they decided the details of the day added too much extra pain.
Ned and his wife Morgan have another child, a 9-year-old son named Bronson.
We just can’t even imagine what this is like for them right now.
Family has always been a big part of Ned’s life. The 42-year-old son of country legend Chris LeDoux, joined the family business in earnest in 1998 as the drummer in his poppa’s band. As country fans know, Chris passed away in 2005 after a battle with cancer.

In 2016 Ned went solo, releasing an EP called Forever a Cowboy followed by his only full length album, Sagebrush, in 2017.
Surely this will mean some time off from Ned’s busy touring schedule. We can’t see how someone could hit the stage right after going through something like this.
Our warmest condolences go out to the LeDoux family.
