A couple weeks back Mariah Carey scared the hell out of Eminem. How? She announced she was writing a memoir.

Yes, all of us who aren’t on the diva’s bad side can look forward to reading The Meaning Of Mariah Carey on September 29. There’s even going to be an audiobook she’s reading herself!

The Elusive Chanteuse took to Instagram to share the news on July 9, proudly proclaiming:

“This book is composed of my memories, my mishaps, my struggles, my survival and my songs. Unfiltered. I went deep into my childhood and gave the scared little girl inside of me a big voice. I let the abandoned and ambitious adolescent have her say, and the betrayed and triumphant woman I became tell her side. Writing this memoir was incredibly hard, humbling and healing. My sincere hope is that you are moved to a new understanding, not only about me but also about the resilience of the human spirit.”

So what’s Marshall’s problem? Well, it’s not so much fans being moved to a new understanding about the resilience of the human spirit that has him worried — it’s hearing from the betrayed woman telling her side. Unfiltered.

See, for those who don’t remember this little blip in both of the pop stars’ lives, way back in 2001 the Fantasy singer and the Stan rapper allegedly dated for about six months after meeting to discuss a collab on her Charmbracelet album.

We say “allegedly” because Mariah has publicly denied the fling, while Em has addressed it multiple times in interviews and in song, including on 2002’s Superman (“What you trying be? My new wife? / What, you Mariah? Fly through twice”).

The closest Mariah came to acknowledging Em was slapping on a goatee and a hoodie to make fun of him in her Obsessed music video.

Eminem did not like that, responding with veiled threats on the diss track The Warning (“Mariah, it ever occur to you that I still have pictures?”). OK so that’s the history we know. But what about the dirty deets we don’t?? That’s what has Marshall sweating, according to a source spilling to Us Weekly:

“Eminem’s Achilles heel has always been Mariah Carey. They had a very toxic relationship. He knows that Mariah is going to say very negative things about him. He is expecting the onslaught, and almost welcomes it.”

But he’s used to that. He can just write another diss track. It’s the ammo she has on him and hasn’t used that has him worried:

“Marshall is stressed out that Mariah is going to say s**t that he was bad in bed or a selfish lover because he has always been very insecure about that. She knows that.”

Not to start anything, but… that sounds like some s**t someone who is bad in bed and a selfish lover might worry about. Just sayin’.

And you thought it feels so empty WITHOUT him.
