Heather Locklear In ‘A Great Place’ Celebrating One Year Of Sobriety!

Heather Locklear has had some rough days in the past, but just celebrated a huge milestone in her recovery journey!

On Tuesday, the 58-year-old shared a pic of a quote attributed to Maya Angelou on Instagram along with the caption:

“Hugs will come later! 1 year sober today!!!”

The actress received plenty of love in the comments, including sweet messages from her Melrose Place co-stars Lisa Rinna, Rob Estes, and Laura Leighton. They respectively wrote:

“🙏🏻❤️ love you Heather!!!!!!! ❤️❤️❤️”

“All right Heather!!!!!! Way to go!!”

“Congratulations, Heather! So happy for you, my friend! 💕 🙌🏼😘”

Even her ex-husband Tommy Lee left his own encouraging words on the post:

“Congrats kiddo! That’s huge … your 1 today… happy birthday!!!”

A friend of the actress shared with People:

“She is doing great and looks great. What’s most important is today and the next day and the future and she’s in a great place.”

We’re so glad to hear it!!

It seems like she has a great support system in place, including her parents and daughter Ava Sambora:

“She is gardening and taking walks and cooking like a fiend. She cooks for herself and Ava, and she cooks for her parents.”

Just a few days ago, Locklear shared a photo of a cupcake delivery from her 22-year-old which spelled out “I Love U Mama.” Ch-ch-check out the sweet pic (below):

The confidant continued:

“She is passionately getting into cooking. It’s very sweet, her dad is close to 91 and her mom is in her 80s and she delivers food to them often. It’s so thoughtful. She’s strong and clear headed and she’s thoughtful about others.”

The Perfect Man star has been laying low for quite some time after a series of unfortunate events. Back in August, she pled guilty to eight misdemeanors, including six charges involving battery on a police officer or EMT, and served 30 days in a residential facility.

In addition to the mental health stay, Locklear is serving three years of informal (unsupervised) probation. The judge also ordered at the time for her NOT to possess any weapons, non-prescribed medications, or alcohol. Just a few months earlier, she spent time living in an in-patient facility, which is when we can assume her sobriety began.

We’re so glad things seem to be going so well for her. Keep it up, Heather!!
