Jamie Foxx‘s love life went from one controversy to another after his split from Katie Holmes.

First there were years of speculation about his chronically private relationship with the Dawson’s Creek star, who also happened to be the baby momma to his Collateral costar, Tom Cruise. Were they keeping it so quiet because of Scientology? What was the deal with that?? Shady contracts or something??

Well, all that is over now, but it went straight from curiosity to disgust for many after the rumor he was dating a freakin’ 21-year-old dropped!

Jamie, who is 51 by the way, had been “mentoring” an aspiring recording artist named Sela Vave, and the two were spotted together quite a lot in the weeks following the breakup, leading people to believe the Oscar winner was dating a woman FOUR YEARS YOUNGER than his daughter, actress Corinne Foxx.

But that wasn’t the case, according to Jamie.

In a rare response to rumors, he actually posted a video in which he defended his mentorship of the youngster, saying he did the same for Ed Sheeran and Nick Cannon when they were just kids getting started, which is true. He said:

“We wanted to treat her the same way and give her the opportunity. I spoke to that girl’s mom and she put her trust in me. We don’t ever cross lines like that, personal. I wanted to let you know, for all who were scandal chasing, that’s our artist, that’s our family… We are working.”

So no worries, those who may have been offended! Jamie Foxx is not dating a woman younger than his own daughter.

He is apparently now dating a woman almost exactly his daughter’s age though…

This week Jamie was spotted with a mystery brunette woman who has since been identified as model Dana Caprio.

The 26-year-old (she’s just six months older than Corinne, so basically the same age — at least half the year anyway) posts a LOT of bikini shots. And Jamie Foxx has been paying attention.

Going all the way back to her birthday on August 6, right around the time we learned of the split with Katie, Jamie has been showing girl’s sexy body some love, at least in a social media sense.

According to a source spilling to Radar Online, the two met through mutual friends. The insider said:

“Jamie has been a big fan of Dana for months and they’ve been spending a lot of time together recently. He’s not one for PDA but he’s made it known that he’s very into her and she’s been showing him off online.”

He certainly has made it known he’s a fan. That’s a lot of likes on a lot of bootie shots.

And Dana apparently has been doing likewise, posting videos on her Story featuring the Django Unchained star.
