JoJo Siwa Reveals If She Regrets Calling Candace Cameron Bure the 'Rudest Celebrity,' Talks Their Beef

JoJo Siwa is looking back on her drama with Candace Cameron Bure and revealing if she has any regrets.

If you forgot, the 20-year-old Dance Moms alum referred to the 47-year-old Full House actress as the “rudest celebrity” she’d ever interacted with in a video on TikTok last year. In the aftermath, Candace spoke out and implied that she and JoJo had cleared the air and made amends.

However, JoJo later said that Candace “didn’t share all the details” from one of their conversations, raising questions about where they stood.

Their feud reignited after Candace made comments about “traditional marriage” being the focus on Great American Family, which many took to mean that the network would not tell LGBTQ+ stories.

Over a year after the drama first started, JoJo is looking back on it all and revealing what she thinks about about Candace.

During an appearance on The Viall Files podcast, JoJo said that she initially felt regret about calling Candace out. That’s not the case anymore due to the “traditional marriage” statement.

“After I found out that article about her not wanting anything to do with LGBTQIA+… That’s my people. You know what I mean? And I gotta stand up for me people, and that’s messed up,” she explained, adding that she was “okay with calling her out in the way that I did.”

JoJo added that she wished Candace “was able to be a little more open, a little more accepting.”

Regarding the “traditional marriage” statement, she added that she felt that straight relationships should be shown and had no issue with that. However, she felt that it was being done “out of spite.”

“But when you’re doing it out of spite to say that, ‘Too much is about LGBTQIA+ and you guys suck and I want to make a movie about traditional marriage and you’re not traditional,’ that got to me a little bit,” she said.

She added, “It was like the article said ‘Candace Cameron says no to gays,’” noting that it might not have been her exact sentiment but it was what she took from it.

“It gave me a little sense of like, ‘Okay, you and her are never gonna agree. You and her are never gonna be friends. You’re never gonna get along. You’re not gonna be able to change her; she’s not gonna be able to change me.’ We can both just live life,” she added.

Candace seemingly unfollowed one of her Full House co-stars on Instagram in the aftermath of her comments.

The actress was also seemingly accused of homophobic behavior on the set of a project, something Candace denied and responded to.
