As you may have already seen, the 35-year-old and co-judges Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan were in the midst of filming auditions for the reality competition at the Sunriver Resort in Sunriver, Oregon when they first noticed something was amiss.

Perry said:

“Do you guys smell gas? It’s pretty intense.”

The country star told series producers:

“We’re getting heavy propane.”

As the Swish Swish singer stood up to leave the studio, she added:

“I have a slight headache from it. Oh it’s bad, it’s really bad.”

As everyone evacuated from the room, firefighters arrived on the scene to de-escalate the situation and find the cause. Bryan said:

“This is not a joke, there really is a gas leak.”

Before falling to the ground, Orlando Bloom‘s fiancée shared:

“I’m not feeling good.”

OMG!

While everyone was okay (it was an issue with a pilot light in the resort’s kitchen), Katy shared with the firefighters:

“You saved me.”

Once the whole ordeal was over, three of the emergency rescuers were invited inside to “audition” for the series and sang Richie’s iconic track All Night Long together.

Perry wrote, alongside the video:

“Big shout out to all our first responders around the county- thanks for risking your lives every day…and 🎶 all night long 🎶 #AmericanIdol 🙏🏻.”

Ch-ch-check out how the guys did:

The songstress also tweeted out on Sunday night:

“FIRST OF ALL, do you know how many texts I got from my mom and dad about the texts they got asking if I was okay #gasleak #AmericanIdol”

“SECOND OF ALL, I’m used to smelling gas at the desk but it’s usually @lukebryanonline  #AmericanIdol”

We’re so glad everyone was okay!!
