Kelsea Ballerini and Chase Stokes are over — again!
Us Weekly and TMZ confirmed on Friday that the Outer Banks actor and the country music star broke up for the third time. A source told Us that “it happened just the other day,” and Kelsea is “taking it better” than she had in the previous breakups.
Perezcious readers know the pair first ended their relationship back in September. However, they got back together weeks later. Sources confirmed Chase and Kelsea were giving the romance another shot, but the reunion didn’t last long. The Uglies star took to Instagram in November, cryptically saying he is “blocked” and “did nothing wrong.” We soon learned they split again as Kelsea “had a lot of trust issues,” and the relationship became “so rocky and toxic.” He may have cheated, too. But by the New Year, he won her back! She and Chase announced they were dating again!

Now, here we are! They’re dunzo! However, don’t expect them to rekindle their relationship a fourth time! It sounds like Kelsea is ready to break the messy cycle for good! The source shared that Chase “still isn’t ready to give up” on their romance, but the Baggage singer is officially “done.” And that seems pretty obvious as Kelsea unfollowed Chase, while he still follows her. It is unknown exactly why Kelsea and Chase broke up at this time. Less than a week ago, the musician opened up to Entertainment Tonight at the Grammys, which she attended alone, about the reunion with the Netflix star, insisting the situation wasn’t as “dramatic” as it seemed:
“I love him so much. We’ve been together for quite a while now and done a lot of life together and he was with me getting ready today and he’ll be with me when we wrap. I love love and I believe it in it.”

Interestingly, the next day, Chase’s ex Madelyn Cline posted a pic of her and Kelsea laughing to Instagram Stories. Check it out (below):
Kelsea was very open about her jealousy over Madelyn, Chase’s ex-girlfriend/co-star, through her music, and it appeared they squashed whatever rumored beef they had with the photo. We cannot help but wonder if something went down during this meeting that caused the breakup between Kelsea and Chase! It can’t be a coincidence that days later the split news broke, right? Hmm.
