LaKeith Stanfield tries to romance Clark Backo in the first trailer for The Changeling.

Based on the acclaimed bestselling book of the same name by Victor LaValle, The Changeling is described as “a fairytale for grown-ups. A horror story, a parenthood fable and a perilous odyssey through a New York City you didn’t know existed.”

Adina Porter, Samuel T. Herring, Alexis Louder, Jared Abrahamson and Malcolm Barrett also star in the upcoming series.

The Changeling will premiere on September 8 on Apple TV+.

If you missed it, LaKeith just recently announced that he got married, and welcomed his third baby.

He’s currently starring in Disney’s The Haunted Mansion (based on the ride of the same name), which is out in theaters now.
