Pregnancy has been an “incredible time” for Lea Michele so far!
As you’re likely aware, the Glee alum confirmed only a couple of weeks ago the news of her first pregnancy with a glowing pic (above) cradling her bump. While we can only imagine it hasn’t been easy to stay cooped up at home while pregnant, this has seemingly been to her advantage.

A source explained to E! News:
“Lea has wanted to take it easy for the first part of her pregnancy. She has really enjoyed being present and getting to soak in being pregnant without distractions.”
Taking it easy meant hitting pause on the “rigorous workouts she was doing in the past,” instead opting for “leisurely walks” and, of course, plenty of “relaxing at home.” Despite staying inside due to coronavirus restrictions, she has husband Zandy Reich by her side, who the insider admitted has been “super supportive and there with her every step of the way.”
It looks like her weekend was filled with special celebrations (see the pic HERE) as she marked her first Mother’s Day, celebrating with her own momma:
“The best Mother’s Day with the best mother in the world. I love you mom💛”
So cute!!
While Miz Michele hasn’t spoken specifically about any difficulty with her pregnancy, she has previously shared her journey to being diagnosed with PCOS — polycystic ovary syndrome — which can cause fertility issues for women. The 33-year-old has managed her symptoms in a variety of ways, including diet. She shared at the time:
“Yes. I went to a great doctor, and the minute she looked at me, she was like, ‘Oh, you have PCOS.’ It explained everything. Through diet, I have been able to manage it. But I am very fortunate. There are way more extreme versions of PCOS that women have a lot of difficulty with—mine is not as intense. Which is why I haven’t really talked about it, because there are women who have it so much more intense.”
Lea also added:
“Around 30, my metabolism changed, and I suddenly gained weight and felt out of control. That was a moment where I had to think, ‘OK, I’m older and things are not going to be the same as they were before.’ So I took the time to listen to my body and figure out what it needed. Now, I’m 33 and so happy with my body. My husband thinks I’m the most beautiful girl in the world, which is pretty great. But it’s most about how I feel in my own skin—and I feel truly great.”
It certainly sounds like she’s been able to embrace being pregnant, too!
