When it comes to fashion, we can definitely appreciate it when our favorite celebs step out and take risks — but did Lizzo‘s latest racy outfit go too far??

It’s a fierce debate that has taken over Twitter after the Truth Hurts singer was spotted courtside at the Los Angeles Lakers game on Sunday night in nothing but a cut-out, black t-shirt dress with her matching thong (inset, above) proudly on display.

Attendees of the game, and millions of sports fans watching at home, got an up-close glimpse of the entertainer’s outfit somewhere around halftime when the Lakers Girls dance team performed a routine to her song, Juice.

Clearly jazzed by the musical selection, the starlet got up from her seat and got to twerking — and the stadium’s jumbotron caught it all on camera for the world to see!

While the 31-year-old clearly appeared to enjoy herself in the moment, we’re not exactly sure basketball fans were ready to see all that booty bouncing around!

Others commented on the potentially unsanitary side-effects of the risqué outfit and even compared it to a similar bootylicious ensemble once worn by WWE wrestler Rikishi:

Despite all the negative backlash, there were quite a few stans who took to singer-songwriter’s defense — celebrating her right to dress how she pleases while calling out a bit of hypocrisy among naysayers:

“Lizzo unapologetically existing as a fat black woman has so many of you upset. The fact that she’s upsetting the established order and refuses to get inside this preconceived box so many of you have tried to place her in, is hilarious. The fatphobia is jumping out!”

Now, we all know Lizzo is unapologetically herself at all times, but it’s clear this move rubbed a lot of people the wrong way.

However, to anyone hoping she’ll change her ways anytime soon, we wouldn’t hold your breath!
