Uh oh! There is a chance Alexa and Brennon Lemieux‘s divorce could get really messy!
Love Is Blind fans may recall that during Season 3, the couple discussed getting a prenuptial agreement before they said “I do” because she has a lot more money than Brennon. Alexa came from a very wealthy family and runs her own insurance agency, so they wanted to ensure she was protected. That’s fair. As much as someone may trust their partner and think they’ll stay together forever, it’s better to be safe than sorry. You just never know! And we’ve seen how ugly two people once so in love can get over dividing assets. For his part, Brennan understood and had no issues with signing a prenup. Yeah, you read that right! Back in December 2022, Alexa revealed on an Instagram Q&A that they “never had one,” and she “also never asked for one.” According to the 31-year-old reality star, “Brennon brought up and asked about getting one to protect” her, but she “wasn’t interested in doing” it. Alex stressed that while there is “nothing wrong” with getting a prenup, it was not what she “personally wanted.” Brennon weighed in, reminding everyone not to take it as a “slight” or sign of distrust if your partner asks for one:
“They’re just trying to help everything out in the case that something might happen in the future.”
Well, now it’s a potential problem for Alexa and Brennon. She announced their divorce on Wednesday. And all because they don’t have a prenup, splitting the assets could get complicated quickly! We mean, her own money is on the line! Brennon asked in the filing to retain the assets he had before marriage, so perhaps it’ll go without a hitch. But who knows. We bet Alexa regrets not pushing for a prenup now.
