Meghan Markle is “extremely upset” now that Prince Harry‘s plans to move their kids to the UK are ramping up!
Speaking to Radar Online on Thursday, a source claimed Harry is “more determined than ever” to get his kids, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, into school in Britain — something his wife is NOT on the same page about! The family has been building a life for themselves in California since 2020, and that life is now threatened as “huge tension” breaks out between the parents.

Now that Harry is making moves reuniting with his father, King Charles III, and even just secured a new security review for his family in the UK, he’s “practically unmovable” on his plan to get the kids educated in his home country. An insider explained:
“Harry says this isn’t about abandoning life in America, but he genuinely believes a British education would offer Archie and Lili opportunities they wouldn’t have here, and let them form friendships and experiences similar to his time at Eton.”
But the Duchess of Sussex isn’t happy with this idea! The source furthered:
“Meghan is in utter shock he’s even bringing it up. She thinks it’s far too early, and the notion that he may have talked about relocating the children to the UK without consulting her has left her feeling caught off guard.”
Oof. He didn’t consult her?? That’s a red flag…
Apparently, the Duke was overheard telling a friend during his September visit that he wants “the very best education” for his kids. He also said he’s concerned his little ones are missing out on special experiences like their cousins, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis, are getting being in the UK. And even more, he wants to ensure his kids make lifelong friends like he did in school.
Joss Stone, a singer who just moved back to the UK with her family after living in Nashville, said that at the WellChild Awards, Harry gushed about how “wonderful” the British school system is. She shared per Hello:
“It was nice to share that with him, because it’s exactly why we felt drawn to come back — for the kids to grow up surrounded by family, friends, a strong sense of belonging and, most importantly, in a safe environment.”
Well, that’s no small thing…
But right now, the Suits alum just doesn’t see it the same. In fact, it’s said she’s thrown out the idea of homeschooling — the complete opposite thought process of her hubby! One insider chimed in to Radar Online:
“Archie and Lili are getting older quickly, so it makes sense that Harry and Meghan are considering schooling. But they have to be on the same page. Harry wants them to experience life in England, while Meghan highlights that there are outstanding schools in the US and that homeschooling is a common choice for many affluent families.”
Another confidant urged that the fate of their marriage rests on this:
“The thought of sending their children 6,000 miles away is completely unacceptable to Meghan. She can’t imagine being that far from her little ones, and it has genuinely alarmed her. She’s trying to remain composed, but she’s very distressed that Harry even brought it up. Meghan wants to be supportive, but she fears he’s slipping back into old nostalgic habits. Harry is eager for the children to embrace their heritage, but she believes it isn’t practical. There’s a lot of tension as they try to decide what’s best for Archie and Lilibet.”
Yikes…
The kids are only 6 and 4 right now, so they have time to figure this out. If they get security approved, maybe Meghan will agree to move back to the UK with the kids to ensure they both get what they want? Or maybe this fight will be the couple’s downfall? We’ll see…
