Mormon Wives’ Chase McWhorter Owns Up To DUI & Cocaine Possession Arrest: ‘Just Gonna Raw Dog This S**t’

Chase McWhorter is fessing up to recent legal troubles.

Over the weekend, the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star hopped on social media to address a recent legal report. In the court records, which were obtained by multiple outlets, it was revealed that Chase was arrested in July on three misdemeanor charges, including driving under the influence, driving on a suspended or revoked license, and possession of a controlled substance.

Yeesh! A DUI! And drug charge!

Per The Sun, a police officer “observed a vehicle driven by a male, later identified as [Chase], who was unable to maintain his speed and drifted outside of the travel lane several times, almost hitting a curb.” According to the officer, Chase “swerved to avoid hitting a rabbit (something which I did not observe while following him).”

Once he was pulled over, the officer “detected the odor of alcohol and observed he had bloodshot, glassy eyes and slurred speech.” Chase also apparently “showed signs of impairment while performing the field sobriety tests,” and upon searching his vehicle, “powder substance that field tested positive for cocaine and fentanyl” were discovered.

That’s SO bad.

According to the report, Chase “admitted to drinking at a bar and using cocaine before driving.” Following his arrest, his urine was reportedly tested positive for “amphetamines, cocaine and alcohol.”

According to the report, he was swiftly arrested and his bail was set at $2,500.

A day after the report came out, Chase took to TikTok to address everything:

“Time to address the elephant in the room. And I don’t have a PR person, so we’re just gonna raw dog this s**t. The reports you saw yesterday that came out about what happened on July 4 with me are true. I was pulled over for driving under the influence, had ingested substances that I shouldn’t have, and got behind the wheel of a car. Extremely shortsighted, selfish, and dangerous decision. And shout-out to the cop for helping people stay safe on the road, because it could have ended much worse than it did.”

The 30-year-old revealed he “had a pool party with friends” that day, but decided to bail when a “fight broke out.” He thought he could make it because his house was “only a few miles away,” but as he already admitted, he was extremely shortsighted.

Was at a pool party but got behind the wheel to leave once a fight broke out:

“I should have Ubered, but for some reason, decided to drive home, and that decision alone kills people every single day. I understand the severity of it. Obviously, it was a humiliating low being pulled over and taken in. Terrible look for me. And I’ve experienced some lows on this app.”

The reality star noted it’s “obviously an inward problem” that he needs to “work on. It’s not a reflection of people around me who know how stupid that is and how selfish it was.”

He went on to reveal he told his ex-wife Miranda McWhorter the following day:

“I told Miranda, obviously, the next day, and unfortunately have been a disappointment to her a number of times throughout the time she’s known me, both as a partner and now as a co-parent. So that sucks.”

The social media influencer went on:

“And I am truly sorry for making that horrible decision and putting people in real danger because of it. I am obviously working through the consequences with an attorney, and we’ll deal with that as it comes, because that’s what happens when you make stupid decisions.”

Reflecting on the fans who saw the report, Chase added:

“Just truly sorry to anyone who saw that. I don’t think it’s indicative of anything I think is okay. But obviously it happened, and it was a horrible decision.”

And unfortunately during this sensitive time, Chase has a “beer ad coming out” that was “already in motion” prior to his DUI arrest:

“I don’t want you to think there’s anything ironic or making light of this situation. Obviously it’s been a number of months that we’ve been working on this.”

He left off:

“Extremely sorry about all of it and disappointed damn near everybody around me because of that choice, and I’m dealing with those consequences as well as anything that happens legally beyond that. So, apologies. Wanted you to hear it from me that it did happen and it won’t happen again. I’m sorry.”

In the comments, Miranda attempted to lift his spirits, writing:

“i just know you were punching the air when they read you your ‘Miranda Rights.’”

According to The Sun, Chase apparently missed his first court date and was hit with an arrest warrant because of it. On November 5, he pleaded not guilty, and on November 18, his warrant was rescinded. Chase’s attorney has since told the outlet:

“My client is presumed to be innocent and I intend to represent him to the best of my ability.”

Well, he just got on social media and admitted to ingesting “substances he “shouldn’t have.” We wonder how his video will fair for his not guilty plea in court!

Thought??
