Is Nick Viall really unhappy about the sex of his twins? That is what some fans think after the reveal! However, he and his wife Natalie Joy are setting the record straight!
If you didn’t see, the couple posted a video of their gender reveal on Instagram last week. They both popped two black balloons that released a shower of confetti — specifically pink confetti! That is right! Nick and Natalie are having twin girls! Wow! The former Bachelor, however, didn’t seem too “thrilled” about it! In fact, when the pair, who already have a 2-year-old daughter, River Rose, popped the last balloon, some people thought the dad looked a little bit disappointed that they aren’t having a son! Nick and Natalie are now getting honest about that gender reveal video and how they feel about having two more little girls in their household! It turns out they FAKED the whole thing for social media!
During a new episode of The Viall Files podcast on Tuesday, Nick insisted he is “excited” about having twin daughters:
“Two more little girls. Could not be more excited. I know many people in the comments [were] thinking that that last balloon I wanted to be blue.”
But according to Natalie, he was not “upset” in the video. Apparently, they already knew the genders when they recorded it! She explained:
“And I will be honest with you guys – everything on social media is fake. We did, in fact, act for that video because we did already know the gender. So there’s no way he would’ve been upset with the second balloon, because he’d already known that there were two girls.”
Or did Nick’s true feelings accidentally come out, as some fans wonder… Hmm.
Nick expressed that River has been “a dream and a blessing,” and if he gets “a son someday, that will be great.” However, he swears having more daughters will be “great.” Sharing an anecdote, he said:
“Right after we found out that we were having girls… I was coming down our stairway, and River was looking up at me. And Natalie’s mom said, ‘Just imagine… soon you’ll have three little girls looking up at you.’ And it just melted my heart. It’s going to be great.”
When the two found out about the twins, Nick shared that they had no idea what the sexes might be or if they were fraternal or identical. He added:
“And we’re thinking about having all the girls very close in age, you know, River being an older sister to the two younger girls. It’s a great thing. So we’re very excited.”
We hope so! As for faking the gender reveal? Nick and Natalie are influencers at the end of the day, so we can’t be surprised! Watch the podcast episode (below):
