Ryan Seacrest is back, and… maybe better than ever?
The longtime TV and radio host has been in the news for all the wrong (scary) reasons already this week. On Sunday night, a bizarre appearance on the American Idol finale prompted fans on social media to wonder whether he was having a stroke!

Thankfully, after being absent from Monday’s Live With Kelly, the longtime on-air personality and producer returned to daytime TV on Tuesday morning, looking a lot healthier and happier. With fans sending in their well wishes from across the country, Seacrest joyfully addressed his (brief) health scare and on-air absence, while also thanking Kelly’s husband Mark Consuelos for filling in for him on Monday’s morning talk show.
The 45-year-old Atlanta native relayed to Kelly and the viewing audience (below):
“I want to thank Mark for filling in yesterday. I appreciate that. He’s so good at it. And also the very kind well wishes for my exhaustion. Working round-the-clock so I got a day off to relax. And here we are once again at it on Live.”
OK then!
Short, sweet, and to the point — and it sure sounds like all is better now? What a difference a day off can make!
Besides, Ryan wasn’t the only one to walk back those fan rumors about his health this week, either. One of his reps spoke to People about the Sunday night social media chatter after Idol, saying:
“Ryan did not have any kind of stroke last night. Like many people right now, Ryan is adjusting to the new normal and finding work-home balance, with the added stress of having to put on live shows from home. Between Live with Kelly and Ryan, American Idol, On Air with Ryan Seacrest, and the Disney Family Singalong specials, he has been juggling three-four on-air jobs over the last few weeks and he’s in need of rest. So today he took a well-deserved day off.”
Yeah, well, with that kind of workload we’d be exhausted, too!
Seriously, though, Seacrest is at the top of his game and does a TON of on-camera work all year long, as well as working behind the scenes as an executive producer for a variety of reality TV series and other shows, including Keeping Up with the Kardashians. And let’s not forget his time on the radio!

Knowing all that, then, it’s no wonder exhaustion catches up to him now and again… that is one ambitious schedule!!!
Here’s hoping Ryan keeps up with his health and continues to get regular rest going forward! We know you’re busy, man, but DAMN!!! Take care of yourself!
