Don’t expect Shia LaBeouf to really apologize for getting into a fight and spewing homophobic slurs!
As we previously reported, the 39-year-old actor was arrested for two counts of simple battery in New Orleans last week after he got into a brawl outside a bar during Mardi Gras celebrations. He has a new warrant issued for him in connection to the alleged battery, too. Arrest records claimed Shia hurled the F-word as he punched two men on the street and even possibly dislocated the nose of one of the victims. The report alleged he used the homophonic slur at the cops after being arrested, too. Gross.
A judge has since ordered Shia to pay a $100,000 bond due to using homophobic slurs — after previously being released without having to shell out anything. He also must attend mandatory rehab and participate in a drug-testing program, and he can’t leave the country, not even to attend his dad’s baptism in Rome.

Now, the Transformers alum is addressing his arrest for the first — and he had a lot of eyebrow-raising things to say! He sat down for a lengthy interview for Channel 5 with Andrew Callaghan, which dropped on Saturday, and insisted he doesn’t have a drinking problem:
“My behavior, bulls**t. I gotta deal with that. Does that mean I gotta go to rehab again? I’m just not into it, bro. I don’t think my answers are there. I don’t. I really, genuinely, don’t. If I genuinely did, I’d go. I don’t think I have a drinking problem. I think I have a different problem, and I’m gonna address it.”
Instead, Shia feels he has a Napoleon complex. No joke. He explained:
“I think I have a small man complex. Some kind of Napoleonic – I don’t know what it is. I think it’s something that has to do with anger and ego more so than my drinking, but that’s where I’m at now on my journey, and I’m trying to navigate it. I’ll figure it out.”
When asked what sets off that anger, Shia straight-up blamed his fight on a fear of gay people – and he doesn’t care if that makes him “homophobic.” WTF. He said:
“I’ll be honest with you, big gay people are scary to me. When I’m like standing by myself and three gays are next to me, touching my leg, I get scared. I’m sorry. If that’s homophobic, then I’m that. Yeah.”
Shia went on to say this only “happened one time” to him — and “that’s why I got arrested.” The Even Stevens star stressed that he did not want to describe the situation as him being “groped and surrounded” before adding:
“I am wrong for touching anyone. Ever. And that’s the end of my statement on this whole s**t.”
However, he did not end there. He continued to say he feels triggered when his “masculinity” is “challenged”:
“I’m good with gay, [but] be gay over there, though. Don’t be gay in my lap. It gets weird at – it’s Marty Gras. That’s why. I was drunk, and it’s Mardi Gras. So, everything I’m saying is nonsense. … I’ve never had no problem with gay people. Never. I remember paying for people’s like transition surgery when I was f**king around on the internet heavy. I’ve never been adversarial towards it. You know what I mean? But I don’t know, I’m open to whatever. If somebody’s got more information on the subject, then you know, let me know. I know I’m f**king deep off into the Bible. I know what the Bible says [about] homosexuality.”
When asked what it says, Shia replied:
“Nah, that’s what it says.”
This man said that he’s “good with gay” but thinks “big gay people are scary.” Yeah, right. Based on all these comments, we know where Shia actually stands, and that is definitely not with the LGBTQ+ community. What a disgusting statement from him. Watch the entire interview (below):
