On Sunday, the music mogul posted a minute-long apology video addressing old surveillance footage that showed him beating and dragging his ex-girlfriend Cassie Ventura.
The singer accused the rapper, whom she dated on and off for a decade, of rape and abuse, which he vehemently denied for years until footage corroborated one of her claims.
“Several years ago I was severely abused. It took me therapy and prayer to understand I deserved better. I was deeply injured,” the Broadway icon shared.
“It’s so difficult to reflect on the darkest times in your life, but sometimes you got to do that,” the rapper said in the video posted to Instagram on Sunday.
“We are deeply saddened and disturbed by the recent video circulation of our former chairman, Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs,” the media company wrote on Instagram.
“We find the images extremely disturbing and difficult to watch,” the prosecutor’s office admitted in a statement released via social media Friday.
At the time, the former couple were attending the premiere of her movie “The Perfect Match.”
“You’re so miserable with yourself that [death] would be considered a kindness,” the actor wrote in a scathing post.
“This entire [video] is very terrifying… Look at Diddy running after Cassie like a mad man that he [is] just to hit her,” tweeted one fan.
50 Cent has spoken out about the abuse allegations against Combs on numerous occasions, warning that more women would be coming forward.
