
Taylor Swift is gearing up for one of the year’s strongest showings at the box office with her Eras Tour concert film!
The 33-year-old “Shake It Off” pop icon shattered a record previously held by a Marvel film after generating $26 million in ticket sales for AMC Theaters in 24 hours.

According to Deadline, the Eras Tour concert film has already moved more than $65 million in ticket sales. The number includes data from US theaters AMC, Regal and Cinemark, Cineplex in Canada and Cinepolis in Mexico.
Experts are guessing that Taylor might even be on track for an opening weekend totaling in at $100 million! To put that in perspective, Barbie (the biggest movie of the year) opened with $155 million at the box office. It broke $1 billion just a few weeks later.
After Taylor announced her big movie news, two other movies that were scheduled to arrive the same weekend have moved their premiere dates.
