Travis and Jason Kelce never expected their mom to have such a “deceitful and devious” side! If you haven’t started the new season of The Traitors yet, this is your warning! Spoilers ahead!
During the premiere of Season 4 on Thursday, Donna Kelce entered the game with several celebrities, including Lisa Rinna, Jonny Weir, Dorinda Medley, Colton Underwood, and more. Some became faithfuls, and four others turned into traitors. However, in a shocking new twist, the audience, along with the three other traitors, Lisa, Candiace Dillard Bassett, and Rob Rausch, did not know the identity of the fourth traitor — AKA the Secret Traitor — whom Alan Cumming‘s picked in front of everyone before stepping inside the castle!

Several cast members soon grew suspicious of Donna, and she got banished during a surprise daytime round table in episode 3 — despite most of the group being scared of the Swifties seeking revenge! So what was Mama Kelce? She was the… SECRET TRAITOR! Yeah, she was working alone to get rid of as many faithfuls as possible all along. And she was pretty successful in helping to eliminate strong gamers Ian Terry, Rob Cesternino, and RHOA star Porsha Williams. Wow!
Donna played a great game in a short amount of time, which both of her sons want to acknowledge now! Travis gushed about her run on the show during Wednesday’s episode of the New Heights podcast, saying:
“For my stamp of the week, I’m keeping it in the family. Dude, I’m going Mom all day. Did you watch this? I was so proud of her, man. She looked like she was having a blast, enjoying it all.”
The Kansas City Chiefs tight end expressed that he loved seeing his mom “ living out her dream” and having her moment:
“[She] showed everybody what she’s got. It was just so cool to see her in this moment. Shout-out to my guy Ron Funches for sticking by her side and being kind to her. … I’m sure he probably felt a certain way after he found out she was the Secret Traitor. It was just so fun to see her out there, living out her dream, giving the world a beautiful message about being fortunate enough to do these things at her age and where she is in life, and it’s just so cool to see her live in that moment, man.”
If only we could’ve gotten more of her on our screens this season! Ugh! Perhaps, like Dorinda, she’ll be asked to come back next season since she got kicked out so early!
But what really impressed Travis? He praised Donna for how “she stood her ground at the roundtable.” Even Jason was so impressed by their mother’s “fantastic” gameplay, pointing out that she could have been an “easy target” since she had zero reality television experience. Instead, she was more “deceitful and devious” than the pair expected! Jason said:
“I thought Mom did a great job, I loved watching her. She was way more deceitful and devious than I thought Mom could ever be, which was surprising.”
We couldn’t believe it either! Who knew the sweet and wholesome Mama Kelce had it in her! We just wish we could’ve seen what other tricks she had up her sleeve this season! Watch Jason and Travis talk about The Traitors (below):
